As a child I had very bad asthma. But in my early teens I started swimming, my lungs got stronger. Overcoming asthma. Swimming it’s good for your lungs and joints.
Also breathing techniques help everyone

I also had asthma as a child from 6 i was In hospital a few times being woken up with a nebulizer every 2 hrs. They told me I had scaring on my lungs. But I was always so active I was swimming,running I started climbing and bouldering and it went away for a few years. At about 19 I started smoking weed and for about 3 to 4 months I had coughing fits and then it went away. I am 30 now still lean mean and a healthy machine.

This may be my favorite interview Jesse has done. Helps I’m a huge mma fan and knew bas was a bad ass a long time ago.

Going through bullying is awful, there's no doubt about that. The bullies seem invincible at the time but eventually you gather some inner strength you never knew you had and deal with it. I did and it changed my life forever. Having someone else stop it doesn't solve the problem

Great interview. Bas is such a down to earth real person. Loved his attitude in regards to transitioning from a stand up fighter to grappling. He was definitely able to 'empty his cup'.

Bas has stated multiple times that he would drink and party in Roppongi the night before his fights.
When training. You need most discipline before the fight week.
Before his fights, NOT TRAINING. He trained sober.

I've had that sleep issue once . I stood my ground and this fuzzy feeling started to penetrate my bones and get more intense. I stood my ground and asked for strength and it went away.

Well Bas, they turned that blind eye. And we the American people have been scratching our heads ever since..
I got similiar health problems as Bas had as a kid, it's not a nice to be raised with these things, people weirdly looking at you, bullying from mates, etc. Eczema dissease have a lot of forms. In my case, if I sweat through I am working out, my condition of it gets lot worse and I have tu heal it at least a 2 weeks or month to get it into normal state as it was before the workout. So respect to Bas that he could overcome this health problems and become a legend of what he liked to do. I did boxing for 3 years and I loved it. But these disseases (mainly atopic eczema and asthma a little) have make me put the gloves on shelf.

Not really. They were the best of their respective eras, but nowadays Cro Cop can't even keep up with morbidly obese journeymen like Roque Martinez and had to be saved by the doctor. That said, Roque is pretty good.

From now on keep interviewing the alpha males. I love listening to the alpha males. I am sick and tired of the beta males. I have to deal with them at school and at work.
I was a traveling construction worker for about 10 years. Once I came home, I saw a huge change in people. I couldn't believe how weak and timid people were. Especially guys. My heroes were 80s action stars, and I started martial arts at a young age. Then went to work on the road. Now coming into a normal city life, it's a bit depressing to see so few people shared those values. Bas is a great example of a role model.

I love how when Jesse did his beta test on bas, asking him his trigger words... bas just shut it down like "naw, no thanks." Jesse didn't fight him on it, because that's all he wants. He's not really trying to make fun of people and hurt them, he wants them to stand up for themselves. This is why so many misread Jesse's intentions. He is a good MAN, that wants to help others find confidence and happiness in the world. We all have different opinions on some things here and there, I'm sure. But overall the message is a good one.
Going with the masses here. But truly, real men that desire to be alpha recognize Bas and other pinnacle alphas. Give us more of the like Jesse!

32:25 Bas seems to be describing what I experienced at least the beginning.I had a nightmare of an extremely loud strong wind (worse than a tornado?)as I woke up I could not move and my body was buzzing beyond description,from head to toe.I could not move.Eventually I willed with extreme effort to free myself and it eventually happened.No running lady though,lol.It took 5 minutes or so just to calm down,even knowing it was a nightmare I was so shook up.I think it was what is called "exploding head syndrome" (not making that term up) as I woke up from a nightmare.My mind could not command my body as it could when conscious I think.Still the sensations of vibration and sound was indescribable,very powerful experience.
Best interview to date Jesse!! Bas reminds me of me only I was born in America. Martial arts my whole life, Christian and love this country. There are 2 kinds of people in this world. One loves the idea of unfettered freedom and appreciates the ultimate sacrifice other men gave so that our children can grow up without fear. The other detests and loaths freedom because it has not benefited them in ways that it has for others. People born into freedom will relish it or despise it. The ones that despise it want to use the destruction of freedom to enrich and empower themselves.
Saul Alinsky was a devious, wicked man who has set the stage for manipulation of millions in America. The powerful and rich will all push for Communism because it is an ultimate form of control without being held accountable for actiins & atrocities. Politicians, bankers, Hollywood elites, wealthy families, etc all know they will have ultimate power in a country operated under a Communist dictatorship and it will allow them to continue their depravity to the grave without repercussions. Americans need to make some sacrifices soon because if this continues the world will suffer immensely for centuries to come.

I have been watching Bas through his whole career and he has never changed, now that he has made it, he still acts the same, always humble and always has a sense of humor, he was one of the best fighters of his time and he is still one of the best human beings!
